The Bus Stop

Sad is standing alone at a bus stop. Rain pouring down. Broken umbrella hanging limply at their side. Just waiting. The kind of waiting that feels like it might never end.

Then Happy shows up — yellow umbrella, smiley balloons, and that quiet warmth. "Have you been waiting long?" "Feels like forever."

Happy doesn't try to fix it. Doesn't say "cheer up" or "it'll get better." Just steps closer, holds the umbrella over both of them, and says the only thing that actually helps: "Good thing you're not waiting alone anymore."

Sometimes that's all it takes. Not a solution. Not advice. Just someone showing up and standing in the rain with you.
